To promote awareness and education of the impact of sustainable living, The Orange County Sustainability Decathlon (OCSD) is proud to offer several opportunities for volunteers to get involved with the preparation of its October 2023 event at the OC Fair & Event Center. The OCSD is a new, collegiate event from October 5 – 15 that aims to inform the public on ways to live greener lives and help make a dent in the rising issue of climate change and California’s affordable housing crisis.
Through active participation, volunteers are recognized as advocates for sustainable practices and innovations that address the environmental issues we face. Additionally, this event offers a unique opportunity to work and network with other like-minded individuals and learn from leaders in the field.
Volunteering at the OCSD is a rewarding experience that provides individuals with real-world experience for personal and professional growth while contributing to paving the way for a more sustainable future for Orange County and saving the planet.
The event is committed to showcasing the youth of Orange County who are leading the fight against climate change through the construction of ultra-efficient sustainable houses that represent the transition to renewable energy sources.
OCSD is currently seeking volunteers in numerous locations including Information Desks, Docents, K-12 Areas, and Registration.
