Volunteer

Join an Amazing Team of Volunteers!

By actively participating in this event, volunteers become advocates for sustainable practices and innovations, helping to raise awareness about pressing environmental issues. Through their efforts, they play a crucial role in inspiring positive change and encouraging others to adopt more eco-friendly lifestyles. Additionally, volunteers get to collaborate with like-minded individuals, learn from experts in the field, and gain valuable experience that can further their own personal and professional growth. Ultimately, volunteering at the Decathlon is a rewarding experience that allows individuals to contribute actively to a more sustainable and greener future for Orange County and beyond.

What are the benefits of volunteering?

Volunteering allows you to work alongside like-minded people, network with the community, and gain experience in a field of interest.

We especially encourage students who would like to build their resume, locals with an interest in sustainability, and professionals who want to donate their time/skill sets to sign up or speak with an OCSD organizer.

We look forward to working with you!

What are the requirements for each volunteer job/role?

Volunteers must be available for at least two four-hour shifts between September 20 and October 20, 2023.

How do I know where to be and when to be there?

An OCSD organizer will contact all volunteers who sign up to participate this fall for logistics and directions.

Please report to the Los Alamitos building upon arrival.

What else do I need to know to be prepared and make the best of the experience?

We’re excited for this inaugural event at the OC Fair & Event Center!

Our volunteer coordinator will walk you through specific preparations this fall. This could include a training webinar and/or email for logistics and any additional preparations.
