Bold Ideas Build Brighter Futures
The Orange County Sustainability Decathlon challenges university teams to design and build model solar-powered homes that address climate change and California’s housing needs. OCSD23 teams will showcase innovative, market-ready model homes to display in a sustainable village which will be open to the public.
Attend the Event
The Orange County Sustainability Decathlon will take place October 5-15, 2023, at the OC Fair & Event Center in Costa Mesa, CA. The event will feature the OCSD23 competition, as well as a STEAM Student Showcase that is open to both high school and college teams.
Team Support From California
State Senator Dave Min championed a significant grant from the California Legislature to make the Orange County Sustainability Decathlon a reality. Thanks to this funding, 16 teams were selected to participate in this new competition. Each received seed money for their project.
